Ontario Ministry of Health Grant
Since 1989, the Ministry of Health, through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) has made available a partial grant for the purchase of hearing aids, to all residents of Ontario.
Who is eligible? Anyone who requires the use of a hearing aid for a period of 6 months or more may apply. You must have a valid Ontario Health Card in your name. A current hearing test (within 6 months) is also required.
Trial Period. All hearing aids purchased at Ottawa Carleton Hearing (and its associated companies) come with a 60 day trial period. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return the hearing aid before the end of the trial period for a full refund. However, earmolds are not refundable.
Replacing Hearing Aids. The Assistive Devices Program will replace your hearing aids once every 3 years, if your present hearing aids are no longer functional and cannot be repaired at a reasonable cost. Assistive Devices Program grant application forms are available at all of our offices.
